Game Summaries:
Avengers 11, Yogi's Boys 8
The Avengers lived up to their name by avenging their loss to Yogi's Boys earlier in the season, defeating the Boys 11 to 8 at Rahway River Park.  At the plate Avengers Gino Raisley and Jeff Villani led the attack with 3 hits each.  Joe Sarica, Bill Moore and Stu Lukowiak added 2 hits apiece.  Sharp defense and Alan Schachman's pitching limited Yogi's Boys to scoring in only 3 innings.  For Yogi's Boys, Ken Hopper had 3 hits, while Tony Zarvos and Karl Grossmann both hit triples in the loss.
American Legion 10, Kenilworth VFW 7
Roselle Legion jumped out to an early lead on the strength on a long three run homer from Bill Buteau.  However, rallies in the fifth and sixth innings were needed to capture the victory.  The go ahead rally in the 6th was started by Willie Shumate who scored on a game tying double by Bill Dugan.  Steve Miscia, Bill Buteau, Glen Sytko and Darren Jones followed with hits to provide the runs needed for the victory.  Carey Durrett and Ron Kulik led the 
Awnings Galore 18, DeBellis Associates 12
In a tightly fought battle, Awnings Galore came out ahead of DeBellis Associates 18-12 before the skies opened up at Linden Memorial Field.  For Awnings Danny Mendoza once again led the team, going 3-4 with another homer and 3 RBIs.  Paul Newton added 2 more triples and went 3 for 4 on the night.  Tom Pasko, Bobby Lorincz and Mike Carnevale all were 3 for 3, while 2 hits apiece were stroked by Rich Polonitza, George Merlo and John Campanella. 
Renda Roads 19, Liberty Lighting Group 1
Renda Roads scored an impressive victory over A Division rival Liberty Lighting Group with a 19-1 thrashing at Linden Memorial Field.  Renda's offense was led by Mark Mariski and Tom Straniero who were both 4 for 4, and Dana Kimmel who went 3 for 3.  Gary Pence had 2 hits, including a Home Run.
Avengers 22, Awnings Galore 14
The Avengers are getting hot at the right time as they zoomed to the top of the B Division pennant race by defeating Awnings Galore 22 to 14 to avenge another early season loss.  The Avengers put up back to back snowmen by plating 8 runs in both the 3rd and 4th innings.  At the plate the Avengers were led by Leo DiGuilio, Joe Sarica, and pitcher Alan Schachman with three hits each.  Jeff Villani, Steve Falco, Stu Lukowiak, Bill Moore, Joe Brown, Steve Landau and Richie Krov contributed 2 hits each in the victory.  Awnings had good performances by Danny Mendoza going 4 for4 (3B, 2 2B), and Paul Newton and Mike Carnevale who both were 3 for 4.  Bruce Crawford had a homer, and Rich Polonitza added 2 doubles.
Renda Roads 18, Kenilworth VFW 11
Renda Roads served notice that they will be the team to beat heading into the 2020 playoffs as they defeated Kenilworth VFW 18-11 at Tremley Field.  Mark Mariski and Dana Kimmel led the attack with 4 hits each.  Bernie Maguire and Rick Wilson had 3 hits apiece.  John Mazur hit a long home run and Dennis Watson and Gary Pence were defensive standouts for the Road Crew.  Kenilworth VFW came storming back from an 11-run deficit with 11 runs of their own in the bottom of the 4th to tie the game, only to have Renda pull away with 7 runs over last 2 innings.  For VFW, Ron Kulik, Carey Durrett, Don Montefusco, Bob Greco and Jose Jimenez each had 2 hits.  Durrett and Kulik each made defensive fielding gems.
Yogi's Boys 23, DeBellis Associates 14
Yogi's Boys kept the 60's B Division pennant race tight with a 23-14 victory over DeBellis Associates at Linden Memorial Field.  The Boys were led by Ken Hopper, Paul Leso, Joe DePierro, Anardo Calderon and Jay Calhoun who each had 3 hits.  Tony Zarvos, Jay Calhoun and Joe Kenny each hit Home Runs.  Six others had two hits each.
American Legion 11, Liberty Lighting Group 3
Roselle Legion jumped to an early lead off the bats of Ralph Genova (3 hits on the night) and Chris Paterek.   Willie Shumate contributed a long triple to plate two runners and Bill Dugan added two hits.  Defensively the Legion turned three double plays and outstanding plays were recorded by Gene Antonucci, John Amato and Bill Dugan in support of winning pitcher Ed Lubas to keep LLG from mounting any kind of rally.
